Jethro Tull have shared a video for their latest single, “The Navigators“, which has been mixed by The Pineapple Thief‘s Bruce Soord. The Navigators follows the first single released from the album, “Ginnungagap“.
The single is taken from the band’s upcoming 23rd studio album, “RökFlöte”, due to release on April 21. Ian Anderson previously explained that the songs on the album were inspired by the characters and roles of some of the principle gods of the old Norse paganism.
The video for the song takes place on the tempest-tossed, shark-filled sea, where Viking ships, and then a more modern vessel, attempt to survive a storm.
The new LP will be available on several different formats, including two limited deluxe formats that include bonus demo material, extensive liner notes and a Blu-ray.
